Can you afford not to comply with ITAR/EAR regulations?

02 February 2010

The penalties for failure to comply with ITAR/EAR regulations are severe: many major aerospace companies have been penalized millions of dollars in recent years for non-compliance. These are big companies with vast legal resources: it is much harder for SMEs to navigate their way through the regulations.

To support the aerospace industry in better understanding the requirements, PRI now offers a two-hour webinar called “ITAR/EAR and the Nadcap audit” for just $39.

Topics include:

  • Overview of ITAR/EAR regulations
  • Impact of ITAR/EAR regulations on the Nadcap audit
  • Pre- and post- Nadcap audit expectations relating to ITAR/EAR

This webinar is recommended for anyone whose business operates internationally and is involved with Nadcap audits, or anyone who is considering working overseas.

The instructor is Don Buehler, President of Export Solutions, who worked for almost 25 years at GE Aviation in Cincinnati, Ohio, in both Manufacturing and Quality Control responsibilities. He was one of the primary architects of the International Aerospace Quality Group – an organization he has helped facilitate for more than 10 years. He was also instrumental in developing the Other Party Management Plan, which is responsible for the implementation of AS/EN/JISQ 9100 worldwide. Prior to starting Export Solutions, Don has worked as a Senior Manager for the Performance Review Institute, which administers Nadcap for the aerospace industry. Don led the effort to improve the compliance of the Nadcap process with ITAR/EAR regulations.
