Nadcap contributes to aerospace safety

25 July 2012

A recent online poll showed that almost three-quarters (74%) of the 254 aerospace industry respondents agree that Nadcap plays a role in the overall safety record.

These responses, to a poll by the not-for-profit Performance Review Institute last month, have improved since 2011 when 62% felt that Nadcap contributed to the overall aerospace safety record.

PRI’s Vice President and COO Joe Pinto commented “As this poll shows, industry representatives are increasingly acknowledging the value that Nadcap offers to the aerospace sector. Special process escapes can be problematic, costly and time-consuming to resolve so, although Nadcap operates specifically in special process and product accreditation, extensive supply chain oversight in that area mitigates risk for end users by ensuring the highest possible standards throughout the global supply base.”

The poll was conducted from 1 June – 30 June 2012 on the PRI website, which is primarily used by Nadcap aerospace prime contractor members and Nadcap accredited suppliers.
