Nadcap helps attract more business, web poll shows

25 March 2014

16% of Nadcap accredited companies became accredited to attract new business, while 12% chose to become accredited to remain competitive in the aerospace industry, according to the results of a recent web poll conducted by the Performance Review Institute.

This supports the findings of a 2010 survey, in which 54%  of respondents indicated that Nadcap accreditation had helped increase sales or attract new business, with one respondent stating “Earlier, we… were known only in India… After Nadcap, we have worldwide recognition”.

The majority of Nadcap Suppliers are mandated by their customers to become accredited; however, it is positive to see that there is a significant minority who see the value in gaining accreditation, beyond compliance to customer requirements, and recognize that an accreditation like Nadcap can be used to demonstrate process control excellence.

“Achieving Nadcap accreditation is not easy: it is one of the ways in which the aerospace industry identifies those who excel at manufacturing quality product through superior special processes. Companies work hard to obtain this status and they should be justifiably proud of it,” said Joe Pinto, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Performance Review Institute. “PRI is proud to support continual improvement in the aerospace industry by helping companies be successful and we look forward to continuing to assist the industry moving forward.”
